The prolific Haltcliffe herd of Messrs Ridley, Haltcliffe,
Hesket New Market, provided the outstanding highlight of
a buoyant 25th Annual Society Sale at Carlisle on Saturday,
3rd May.
BUYERS’ SURVEY OF OVER 1000 BULLS
Through October and November of this year, the British Limousin Cattle Society
is undertaking an extensive customer survey of the performance of over 1000 Limousin
bulls sold through Official Society sales.

AT THE IRISH PLOUGHING MATCH
Three Young Limousin Breeders teams went head-to-head to
head amidst a great spirit of cooperation at the very first
Anglo-Irish Stockjudging Championship held on Tuesday 25th
September 2007.

In an extension of Herd Health policy, the British Limousin Cattle Society
is set to introduce the standardisation of herd health declarations and
information at Collective Society Sales commencing with the 2007 May
Sale at Carlisle on 5th May.

Giuseppe Pantaleoni was in the United Kingdom to see the British
Limousin section judging and to promote next year’s International
Limousin Congress which is due to be held in Italy in May 2008.

Sunday 1st July 2007 saw the traditional Royal Show Young Limousin
Breeders’ Stockjudging Championship. Competitors battled it
out in great spirit amid boggy conditions when judging one bull and
two heifer classes.
