The summer sale of Limousin bulls and females at Carlisle
on Friday 12th June met with a very solid trade which saw a top price
of 11,000gns.

Limousin females were again in big demand at the Dispersal Sale from the
Parkhouse Herd on behalf of Tom Cheshire, Manor Farm, North Marston, Bucks,
held at Carlisle on Wednesday 20th May 2009.

AT TRAFFORD LIMOUSIN HERD SALE
A 7,000gns bid for a pedigree Limousin cow with a heifer calf
at foot led the trade at the major reduction sale from the Trafford
Limousin Herd held at Borderway Mart, Carlisle on Friday 15th
May.
RECORD LIMOUSIN AVERAGE AT BRECON OF £4,275
A record average of £4,275 and a total clearance of bulls
underpinned a strong trade for Limousin bulls at the Brecon Sale
held on Saturday 9th May, 2009 with McCartneys Auctioneers.

BULLS LEAD PERTH SALE AT 5,500GNS
Two bulls at 5,500gns led the May Multibreed Sale on 4th
May 2009 which was held for the final time by United Auctions
at Perth as the auctioneer is set to move to new premises
in Stirling.

CANTONA LEADS DUNGANNON SALE AT 6,000GNS
Packed judging and sale rings were evidence of the keen
interest in the Dungannon
Sale held on Monday March 30th 2009. With
the status of an Export Qualifying Sale assigned to it,
bidding was brisk with a total clearance of bulls forward.
CENTRE RECORD AT ABERDEEN FOR BUCHAAM BULL
Pedigree Limousin bulls sold to a centre record 6,200gns at the
Royal Northern Spring Show held at the Thainstone Centre,
Inverurie on Wednesday, February 25th.

There was a firm trade for bulls and females at the British Limousin
Cattle Society Show & Sale held at Dungannon Mart on Friday
6th – Saturday 7th February 2009 which saw bulls sold to

The Perth Spring Limousin Show & Sale saw Newhouse Black
Colorado, from Messrs R Adam & Son, become the first black
Limousin to be crowned Champion at a Society Show & Sale.

A new pedigree centre record was set at Ballymena when Mr TH
Adams, Fedney House, 50 Shot Lane, Banbridge, Co. Down sold
the year old heifer, Fedneyhouse Crystal for 7,000gns.

BELIVY TOPS YOUNGSTOCK SALE
A 17-month-old heifer selling from the Gunnerfleet herd of Mr
I Handley, Gunnerfleet Farm
made 3,500gns and led a solid sale of Limousin youngstock at
Carlisle on Wednesday 14th May.
LIMOUSINS SET BRECON CENTRE RECORD AVERAGE
A new centre record average was set at the
Society’s sale at Brecon Market on Saturday 10th May
and there was a real “buzz” ringside as the
6,200gns Lowerffrydd Buzz led the sale.

Howhall Bailea, a rising 21 month old bull from Mr A Renton,
Tannage Brae, Duns, Berwickshire made 4,300gns and topped
the Limousin section of the May Multibreed Sale at Perth.
