A Production Sale held on behalf of the Bailea & Gunnerfleet Pedigree Limousin Herds respectively at Borderway on Friday 2nd July saw a top price of 12,000gns for the Limousin heifer, Bailea Delphine.

GOLDIES DRAUGHTSMAN MAKES 6,000GNS AT CARLISLE SUMMER SALE
Topping the sale of Limousin bulls at Carlisle on Friday 11th was the 6000gns Goldies Draughtsman from the Goldies herd of Mr. BT Goldie, Townfoot Farm, Mouswald, Dumfries.

Two maiden heifers at 28,000gns and 21,000gns from the Haltcliffe Herd, led the Production Sale held at Carlisle on Friday 28th May on behalf of the Haltcliffe, Goldies, Lodge & Ronick Herds respectively.

4,500GNS HUDSCALES BULL CALF TOPS YOUNGSTOCK SALE
A youngstock sale held at Carlisle 19th May 2010 on behalf of 20 Limousin breeders saw Hudscales Earl top the trade at 4,500gns for Messrs A&W Cowx, Hudscales, Hesket New Market, Cumbria.

13,000GNS SARKLEY BULL SETS ALL-BREEDS CENTRE RECORD AT BRECON
A very strong trade for Limousin bulls was highlighted with an all-breeds centre record to price of 13,000gns paid for Sarkley Daffyd.

WESTHALL BULL LEADS STIRLING AT 5,500GNS
Westhall Black Diehard consigned by Mr A Fotheringham at 5,500gns led the May Multibreed Sale held at Stirling on 3rd May 2010.

Local breeder George Hutton, Setmabanning, Threlkeld, Keswick, Cumbria, led the way at the British Limousin Cattle Society’s 27th Carlisle May Sale, held at Borderway Mart on Saturday 1st May 2010.

EDENROSS BULL LEADS DUNGANNON SALE AT 4,000GNS
The Society Sale held at Dungannon on Monday March 29th 2010 saw 18 bulls go under the hammer at an average of £2,391 with 20 females making £1,338 apiece.

CARLISLE BULLS SELL TO AN ALL-BREEDS RECORD
Driven by a terrific demand from commercial beef producers, the British Limousin Cattle Society Sale of Limousin bulls at Carlisle held on Saturday February 13th saw 176 bulls sell to an all-breeds centre record average of £6,045.

The Perth Spring Limousin Show & Sale held Tuesday - Wednesday 2nd - 3rd February saw two Black Limousin bulls from Messrs R Adam & Son, Newhouse of Glamis, Angus top the trade at 12,000gns apiece.

SALE BULLS TO BE TESTED FOR THE F94L ‘PROFIT’ GENE
In a pilot initiative, the British Limousin Cattle Society is offering its breeders the opportunity to test Society Sale bulls for the F94L gene which has been dubbed as the ‘Profit’ gene.

2009 SALES REACH A RECORD £6.1 MILLION
End of year figures from the British Limousin Cattle Society show that official Society sales of pedigree Limousins reached a new record gross figure of over £6 Million in 2009.

RECORD LIMOUSIN LADIES AT CARLISLE
The Red Ladies Limousin Derby held at Borderway Mart, Carlisle on Friday 18th December brought the 2009 British Limousin Sale Season to a spectacular close with a top price of 38,000gns, eight animals at 8,000gns or more, and an all-breeds record average of over £4,400 for maiden heifers.
