Semenstore is delighted to announce that Wilodge Cerberus semen will be available for sale exclusively through the e-commerce site at www.semenstore.co.uk The agreement has been reached with Cerberus’s owner, Mr Allan Jenkinson, Whinfellpark Limousins, Clifton Moor, Clifton, Penrith.

Wilodge Cerberus is the outstanding January 2007 born bull that made the 50,000gns top price, the fourth highest price paid for a Limousin bull at auction in the UK, when leading the trade at the British Limousin Cattle Society’s Autumn Bull Sale at Carlisle in October 2008. An embryo calf, Cerberus is sired by Wilodge Tonka, an Oxygene son who had himself sold for 30,000gns at Carlisle in October 2003. Full of breeding, Wilodge Cerberus’s dam is the 1999 born Wilodge Priceless, a daughter of the famous Broadmeadows Cannon and out of the Epatant-sired Wilodge Littlegem. Visual appearance is complemented by performance figures, with Cerberus carrying a Beef Value of LM+46 and a Muscle Depth of +7.2 which puts him easily into the top 1% of recorded Limousins.

Wilodge Cerberus is presently being semen collected at the Cogent stud in Cheshire. Thereafter he will be used within the soon to be 150 strong cow Whinfellpark Herd that has been built to date mainly around a French-bred female base, which now includes a larger proportion of home bred females by sires such as Regal and Wilodge Topgun. Whinfellpark’s aim is to make semen available for purchase on the semenstore site from mid June 2009.

Commenting on the agreement reached with Semenstore Nick Scholefield, the Whinfell Park Estate Manager said, “We are excited by the all-round potential Wilodge Cerberus has. He is a bull with presence, power, a great depth of breeding, and terrific performance figures. The Semenstore is an impressive, modern, and professional means by which to market the bull to his potential and we feel it will make him available to a wide ranging pedigree and commercial customer base.”

Speaking on behalf of Semenstore, Iain Kerr said, “Cerberus is a fantastic bull to make available through the site and we look forward to his launch in June.”
